Presidential Race vs. Color Race?

Is anyone else tired of the race card in the presidential race? I am so incredibly tired of seeing poll results and headlines about "are we ready for an African-American..." and "Whites lift McCain to slim lead". I am not voting based on color or gender. I'm voting based on the platforms and beliefs of the candidates. I am offended that our votes have been reduced and categorized by the media as senseless, thoughtless decisions based solely on race and gender. And if our own media is portraying us this way, what must the rest of the world think?!
